Beta Release of Reprise License Manager on

– The original FLEXlm development team has launched a new company,
Reprise Software Inc., to apply their expertise in licensing to create a better
alternative to the electronic software licensing products in use today.
The new product, the Reprise License ManagerTM
(RLM) better addresses the needs of end users. RLM is different, yet familiar.
It resembles popular licensing systems in architecture and administration, but
it is keenly focused toward increasing simplicity, transparency and value...
three areas that are currently being under served in the marketplace.
RLM supports a core set of license types with license policy removed from the
software and placed into the license key - in order to make integration and
support easier for Independent Software Vendors, and the meaning of the license
more transparent to the end user community.
Perhaps most important to end users, Reprise Software is committed to fully
documenting the usage data format and partnering with third party report writer
vendors to support it in order to expand the available sources of end user
reporting tools.
RLM is currently being beta-tested at a
number of worldwide sites, and it is expected to be commercially available in
the 2nd quarter of 2006.
