ORIGINAL FLEXlm® DEVELOPMENT TEAM - REPRISE SOFTWARE, INC. RELEASES v1.0 of the REPRISE LICENSE MANAGER

San Jose, CA – May 15, 2006 – Reprise Software Inc. today announces the commercial availability of the Reprise License Manager^TM (RLM) v1.0.  RLM provides a rich set of software licensing functions to help independent software vendors to package, sell, and deliver their products in ways that their customers prefer.

RLM’s design is different, yet familiar. It simplifies integration for the developer while improving transparency and access for the end user, all at an affordable cost. 

RLM supports a core set of license types such as floating, node-locked, named-user. But, with RLM, license policy is largely removed from the application and is placed into the license key itself. This makes license software integration and support easier for the developer, and results in more consistent and comprehensible licensing policies for the end user. 

End users directly benefit from RLM because their license usage data is completely accessible to them in a fully-documented format. This allows end user organizations to produce license usage reports that will help them make more informed purchase and deployment decisions. Third party report writer vendors are planning to support RLM’s data format creating a wide selection of off-the-shelf reporting solutions.

RLM v1.0 supports 32bit Microsoft Windows, Linux, Mac OSX, and Solaris. Solaris 64bit is also available. Pricing and additional platform availability information is available upon request.
