Overview
Founded in 2006 by executives
with a proven track record and over 50 years combined experience in the software
license management business, Reprise is focused on delivering the
highest-quality, scalable software license management technology to Independent
Software Vendors (ISVs) and their Enterprise end user customers.
Financials
Reprise Software, Inc. is
privately held and self-funded.
Products
The Reprise License Manager
(RLM) allows software vendors (ISVs) to more effectively price and license their
products for sale to end users. Using RLM, ISVs can capture lost revenue by
offering attractive license terms that more closely match their customer's
needs, rather than being stuck in a "one-license-type-fits-all" sales model.
All of these benefits are available to ISVs by implementing the RLM API into
their products once and then changing the license terms given to customers on a
license-by-license basis, ensuring maximum flexibility and minimum
implementation cost.
Customers
Reprise’s
customers are currently deploying RLM in the Digital Film Animation, Electronic
Design Automation (“EDA”), Mathematic/Scientific, Mechanical CAD/CFD/FEA and Oil
and Gas Exploration markets. Software sold to these markets shares the
characteristics of relatively high per-license revenue, multiple platform
support and technically-oriented end users.
The Reprise Software team consists of the
leading experts in the license management business. This is the same team that
developed and supported FLEXlm - the de facto standard from GLOBEtrotter
Software (and later Macrovision).
Matt Christiano, CEO
Matt founded and served as Chief Executive
Officer of Globetrotter Software, Inc. from 1982 until its sale to Macrovision
in 2000. He was the chief architect and original lead developer of the
Globetrotter FLEXlm® electronic license management software that is the
standard in the electronic licensing business. Matt served as Executive Vice
President of Macrovision from September 2000 until September 2003, and a
director until October 2004. He holds two U.S. patents in the field of license
management. Matt has BS and MEE degrees in Electrical Engineering from Rice
University, and serves on the boards of DartDevices, Inc, and Bridge Investment
Group, both privately-held.
Sallie Calhoun, VP Operations
From 1994 to August, 2000 Sallie served as VP
Operations and CFO for Globetrotter Software, Inc. Sallie has over 25 years
experience in software and general management. Prior to Globetrotter, she worked
in software development and management for a variety of companies in the fields
of medical imaging and real-time control. She holds a BS degree in Electrical
Engineering from Rice University.
Bob Mearns, Lead Developer

needs, and incorporating that understanding into products. Bob was with
Globetrotter/Macrovision from 1994 through 2005, where he held lead development
roles for several products including FLEXlm for Java and FLEXexpress. Bob
also started up the Professional Services group at Macrovision in 1999 and

companies design, implement, and deploy FLEXlm-based licensing solutions.
